I am in search of the perfect thread. It is like the search for the Holy Grail. I am sufficiently chastised for breaching anonymous internet chat protocol. I've learned my lesson.

I breathlessly await the next "Meet Your 2015 New Orleans Saints UFDA class!!" Bruce makes pots; Jack writes poetry.

also not everyone sits here day in day out. There is was one thread on page 1 about Collins that wasn't anchored and it is about Collins meeting with police, the other thread before this one that was actually about signing Collins got anchored. Now maybe this one sticks

Going to be catastrophic when La'el signs somewhere else and the LSU fans flood with "SAINTS ARE STUPID"

Every team has contacted him. That includes the Saints. Nothing else they can do from this point.

Because I am a Saints fan. Collins is not signed to any team and that's kind of a big deal. The subject is important and interesting for Saints fans. You are not important or interesting to Saints fans.

Why didn't the Saints just draft Collins in the 7th round?

Because he said he would not sign if drafted on day 3.

Could be. Hopefully we have been talking to him and his agent since the beginning of all this. Looks like other teams may be beating us to the punch though.

What?

You asked me this question:

why do you spend so much time posting about posting and instead of posting something about the subject

Which I answered.

Try to follow along with your own thought process.

Remember when Ornstein told Payton not to draft Reggie?

They don't want him. They don't want any LSU players more than anyone else. Get over it.

Anyone drafted this year could refuse to sign a contract and re-enter the draft in 2016. Anyone eligible to be drafted this year (as Collins was) that was not drafted could not re-enter the draft in the future. He refused to sign with a team that drafted him after a certain point (4th?). Once he said that, everyone figured it was best to avoid him and force his hand in UDFA.

It was every NFL team that passes on Collins, must have been agreed on to do so... just the way i feel.

I would if I was Payton. I think they have too talk to him.

This kinda think never happens ,especially when it happens in your own back yard.

It would be sad if we lose out ..

My only concern is that La'el might feel burned by the Saints. They went through the whole draft process telling him how much they love him and really like him, then this happens and the Saints essentially show no faith. Especially in the 3rd round when we could have selected him over QB Garrett Grayson. No offense to Grayson, but I'd have much preferred a flier on Collins.

We should be pursuing him in a big way right now. Any contract with him could address any legal issues that could arise with his situation. Saints being the home town team should hopefully have the inside track on any new information on what the real deal is with his legal situation.

Simular what the Cowboys did with Greg Hardy.
