Sunseri waived; claim Sammy Seamster off Dolphins

The Saints waive/injured safety Vinnie Sunseri and placed cornerback PJ Williams on injured reserve, and also claimed defensive back Sammy Seamster off waivers from the Dolphins, according to ESPN's Field Yates.

You cannot just IR a player. You either have to waive them if they would be a RFA or cut them if they would be an UFA. Then you put them on IR (unless a waived player is claimed which is EXTREMELY rare if they are legit injured; the Pats stealing that HB from the Panthers last year was the first time I ever recall an injured player getting claimed).
I think Toon also falls under that so unless he is claimed (being that his injury wasn't as serious some team may take a flyer) he may be headed to IR with Sunseri.

Seriously. We have drafted LSU players who have helped us (Devery) and we have taken 'fliers' on LSU players who weren't worth a shite (Al Woods). Likewise, we have drafted Alabama players who have helped us (Roman Harper), and Alabama players who may not ever pan out (Sunseri). There's no anti LSU conspiracy so lay off the sauce.
