I wouldn't go that far
He was placed on IR after a totally uneventful preseason. Once on IR, you can't practice, even if healthy. So he certainly watched film and got advice, but that doesn't come close to overcoming the fact that (IMO) Stills is an outright more talented player.

Different players to me, but I'm not up on Stills skills to much.
Toon for sure needs to stay on the field and stay healthy but I don't think he is compeating with him as much as Morgan is.
Its true there are only so many WR positions.
JMO.

Don't be surprised if Stills replaces Moore. He had a great year last year playing the slot.
lay off the Saintard juice

According to Mike Detillier on WWL radio, Stills is more of a fast, possession receiver on short routes than a long ball, home run receiver like Devery was and we hope Joe Morgan will be.

I think it's more likely that Toon gets cut or put on the practice squad
Completely agree. Saints fans better brace themselves for the Toon let down. He looked pretty bad at camp before he got hurt. He will never come close to being Colston.

I think it's more likely that Toon gets cut or put on the practice squad (which necessarily means he was cut) than Stills. As Juan Cincaide (sp?) brought up on the twitters, Payton wasn't there for the Toon draft. That doesn't mean he didn't give the front office his opinion on as many players as possible before the draft, but he's definitely more linked to Stills.

You mean eventually or this year? Because if you mean this year you must have the good stuff.
I think any 5th round pick is a future pick.
His biggest hurdle will be making the team. I was just stating that he can play inside as well as out.
Last year he had 80+ catches and11TD's playing the slot. His first two years he played outside.

Yeah I don't want to sound down on him because I'm not. I think potential is there especially after finding out he can play the slot as well.
Just stating that the guys that have been in camp have a leg up on him. That doesn't mean they will keep it.

Strong words. Maybe not a Colston but he will shine.

Our 2 TE looks should cut into a lot of slot time. Graham and Watson will be huge this year, book it.
