Good player, but top 5 pass rusher was sitting there at 31

Apparently he can't read or something.

Love the pick. He's perfect for what we need and has the attitude to lead our D by example. Couldn't be happier with anyone else available.

And how do you know that? Can I borrow your Delorean?

Maybe. I think someone would have taken him before 44 though. Either way...he was the #1 ILB on their board and they made sure they got him. Job well done by our draftroom imo.

Loomis and Payton made sure to pick character players and leaders on their teams. Doubt you see Gregory or Green Beckham being taken by the Saints tomorrow.

Irrelevant. We will still get another good player. Who cares

seems like your typical payton/loomis wtf? 1st rounder

Disagree. Definitely fits a need and not an off the radar guy. You could argue we reached but there's no guarantee he's there at 44.

I don't think he would be there at 44, though with Perryman, Anthony, and Kendricks one of them would have..

Huh? Payton/Loomis have picked several questionable character guys and have had them do well for us. Did you just start following the saints last year?

True but the consensus seems to be that Perryman won't be able to cover.

Both of these picks aren't flashy at all but they're solid. I'm expecting more picks like this the rest of the weekend

It would be great if they could get another LB at 44. McKinney?

I love the pick.

would have been pissed if we didn't take a defensive player in the 1st round after the Graham trade.

I thought that was the whole reason for the trade.

and we got a LB? Finally? frick yeah, sign me up.

Now that we got our ILB, I'm thinking we go OLB or WR

Maybe Colston, who has similar numbers to Jerry Rice, throughout his career?
