We invested a first round pick......and he never gets on the field much in his current position outside.

Let him learn....you spent the pick....now you must let him learn or we threw away yet another first round pick !!!!!

They see him everyday in practice

Then again, they saw Ivory everyday and still played Ingram more

Maybe you're on to something, Drillingman

If playing him now gives you a better chance to win in the future, you absolutely play him especially considering how bad we currently are.

Impossible since he was always sitting next to the trainers

We're a game out and our linebacking play has been fine. We should be getting Ellerbe this week (since he finally practiced at the end of last week) and Robertson has been great.

You don't take Robertson off the field for him, that is for damn sure

Im concerned that Stupar has played so much but he really has played pretty well.

Perhaps our new guys have just been better than we expected?

shite they didnt wait long to bench JL. And it looks to have been a great move.

Im rooting for Steph to succeed but if he's not there mentally maybe giving him a "redshirt year" is best for him.

He obviously doesn't get it. He makes bad choices, and doesn't have good instincts. He's lost and it's on film. I'm saying give up on him yet, but he can't handle that job.

MLB is the qb of the defense. He still doesn't know how to call plays or get people lined up in this scheme. Talent is there, mind isn't.

Wasn't he out this week? Question is, was he a healthy scratch or is he battling an injury?

So play him now no matter the results or the pick is wasted?

Sure.

Almost like he was talking about his time with the saints when he played in 12 games combined his last 2 seasons here....

And you'd still be wrong comparing careers. Ingrams played in 79% of his games while Ivory has played in 72.5%

Because he was inexplicably benched in favor of Ingram

I don't know why Ingram fans always overlook such a basic fact

It's like they know their injury argument is a crock of shite but can't own up to it

So he was put on the PUP list because he was "benched in favor of Ingram", then after getting the carries, he was "benched" with a hamstring injury due to Ingram

He got injured in every season with the Saints. He was our starting running back at the end of the 2012 season, but guess what happened? He got hurt

Or was he "benched" for Ingram there too before Ingram was even on the team?

And I was all for Ivory getting the ball more, but acting like he didn't have an injury issue with the Saints is retarded. But given the source....

I guess this is the part where we're supposed to pretend the entire fanbase wasn't clamoring for Ivory to get playing time in 2012 even though his benching in the first half of the season was a huge discussion point

You bring up the PUP as if we haven't put players on these injury exemptions for bogus reasons in the past

This thread isn't about Ingram fanboys on the coaching staff though

And Ingram's been the picture of perfect health obviously

So his foot and sports hernia surgeries were "bogus reasons"?

You realize you have to actually miss all of training camp in order to be placed on the PUP?

2010: MCL sprain, concussion, shoulder sprain, hamstring

2011: fractured foot (made up though ), groin injury, 2 surgeries, hamstring injury

2012: PUP b/c of 2 surgeries, hamstring injury

All made up

He's had that same lingering hamstring issue to this day too. And I fully wanted him to be the featured back, but ignoring his injury history, especially with your comment and reply, is just silly.

Ingram was a 2nd year running back coming off a 16 game season. Ivory's health was a question mark when the decision was made, and he had to miss the majority of training camp with the Jets.

Ivory's talent was never an issue. He's always been a stud. It is a testament on why taking a 1st round RB is usually silly.

Robertson is a wild card I think jimmy is best in the middle and put Stephone on weak side ready to cleanup tackles
