Not who you want or think good but who the pick will be.

Names to watch- RB Dalvin Cook, RB Curtis Samuel, RB Joe Mixon, S Marcus Maye, S Budda Baker, DL Malik McDowell, DL Jordan Willis, DL Carl Lawson, DL Tarell Basham, DL Derek Rivers, DL DeMarcus Walker, LB Zach Cunnigham, LB Tyus Bowser, QB DeShone Kizer, QB Davis Webb

I'd love a Samuel or Mixon selection. I think Baker gone but would like. With the amount of edge guys in that range, fitting the need makes sense. My * pick is to not be surprised if it is Davis Webb.
So my guess...

Tyus Bowser

Willis

Cunningham is probably going to be better than Robertson, Te'o, or Klein but at least we have someone at ILB. Drafting Cunningham would mean that we spent millions just to sign players to back him up. Meanwhile we Kikaha who's made of glass and Okafor at edge rusher.

Not necessarily. Ellerbe and Robertson don't have long left. Klein will start at MLB and I can see Teo backing him up.

Cunningham might not START at first but he could be. Ramczyk and take over as a starter midway through the season and be a cornerstone LB for years

We need help at DE, OLB, and ILB

OLB Cunningham then Bowser

DE Lawson then Walker

ILB McMillan

I would be happy with any of those but Bowser is kind of a reach at 42. Any of the others have a chance at grabbing the staring job at their projected position.

If we come away with Lattimore, Ryan Ramcyk or whatever, and Willis with our 1st three picks, that is a hell of a draft. Three players that could start/see significant playing time.

Yeah, that is my only issue with Cunningham.

We have Klein, Robertson, and Teo already at the middle. I guess one could move over, but I am not confident in their ability to do so effectively.

Foster at least looks like he could be a solid will or MLB in the NFL if he keeps his head on straight.

That said, I think Cunningham will be an outstanding MLB in the NFL.

So you're pretty much saying we're building for the future instead of trying to win-now? There are still plenty of pass rushers but there won't be as many by the time we pick in the 3rd. Defense should be priority not offense. Cunningham would help our defense but not that non existent pass rush.

I personally would take Willis. I am weary of Williams because of his drug issues. I just want them to put a priority of improving the pass rush.

I'm not saying build for the future at all. I think Cunningham would come in and be an impact Day 1. He just might not start until midway through the season in order to better learn the defense.

I agree pass rush is of the utmost importance but the D has lacked talent for far too long. If we can end up with Cunningham AND Lattimore, we have a better defense already. People forget we love trading up. And we have 2 3rd rounders. We could end up with Cunningham plus a pass rusher in the 2nd round

If they do trade up it would be incredible to have a DE and Cunningham but I won't hold my breath.

Don't get my hopes up

Obi Melifonwu

Something to think about on him. If Deion Jones is an NFL linebacker, why can't this guy also be a WILL?

I love Obi. I just hope he isn't a combine freak
