just released by the vikings
LINK
poor qb play hampered him the last couple of years but he could be a viable option for us at the right price.

He was released because he failed his physical
It's not 2009 anymore

I didnt read that anywhere. regardless, he caught a pass for them in every game except one in the last 2 seasons. I dont think an injury is an issue.

Payton is getting rid of the knuckleheads and Jennings is a notorious diva who trashed the Packers on his way out the door.
I don't think he's a good fit.

Then again, he can put the team on his back with a broken leg
It's a common designation for old players though.
Im not against bringing in a number of old vet receivers for workouts and giving them a look (like :gasp: Lance Moore)

If he can deal with the reality that he is now a #3 WR and cost accordingly, sure

I personally think he was a flash in the pan. He was good for two seasons and has sucked cock since.

he's proven in a good system with a good qb. if he's healthy and on the relative cheap he would be a nice addition for someone, not sure if he's a guy the Saints want to add at this point but i wouldn't be against the move

Would you really want a 32 y/o Jennings and a 32 y/o Colston being your two top WR options?
Id rather bring in a guy like Mike Williams to fill the void left by Stills. Cheaper and fresher legs. Drew Brees could put him in the Pro Bowl.

did you forget about cooks? the real question is do you want toon or one of the other guys that I cant even name being the #1 or #2 on this team if colston or cooks goes down?
Ill take jennings, who has been a healthy productive player most of his career any day, if the price is right.

Cooks hasn't done anything yet
Kinda hammers home the point of needing more WRs
