What is your opinion on then kicking situation with Shayne Graham? There is some speculation the saints may sign matt prater. It wouldn't be the first time the saints signed a former Broncos kicker (Garrett Hartley). Just curious to get other fan's view on Graham.

I'm all for it. Graham shanked a 41 yarder indoors last week. That's rough.

Yeah, Graham just seems uneasy, I'm on the edge of my seat every time he attempts a field goal.

That's probably a good move. I'm in between kickers right now, I really need to find a kicker with a consistent offense behind him to give him more field goal opportunities. Fantasy kickers haven't worked out for me.

I've been saying we should go after Prater all day. He's absolutely an upgrade over Graham, even though he's suspended for one more game. And we have a roster spot open since we just out Byrd on IR.

We have plenty of safety depth and we don't have to cut anyone to add him. Prater is suspended for one more week so we'd still need Graham for this next game. We sign Prater now, then cut Graham next week when Prater is back and use his spot on someone else.

Although I agree it would be a bad situation. ..... he would not jeopardize a future job like that

Also agree that it wouldn't be a great situation, but Prater is only 30, so he still has several good years left and I'd be fine with pissing off Graham for one game while locking up a good kicker for the next several years. Although knowing our luck with kickers, he'll probably trip coming off the plane and get a career-ending concussion or something.

at this point I think you have to bring in prater. graham is terrible.

wasn't that partially blocked? if so, it's excusable in that it would be the line's fault

A blocked extra point is the kickers fault. He should be able to get the kick off in a timely manner, and make it high enough so thst the defense doesnt even come close to blocking it.
