Sean Payton and the offense deserve some blame for this game.

He needs to give up the playcalling. And yes, the defense had issues too, but that isn't the point of this thread.

Calling passing plays when we get into field goal range to win the game. Leading to a huge sack.

Not having the field goal team on the field and ready for a game winning field goal. This is absolutely unforgivable. You have the chance to win the game and you don't get your field goal unit out onto the field?

Pass pass pass punt 3 and outs to kill momentum.

We got the ball to start the second half and came out with a 3 and out, then an interception on the next drive.

The losses this year have been team losses. And the offense has been equally as much to blame as the defense.

Every game but this one has been true.

If the defense does any part of their job, this game is over in 1q.

The refs also fricked our offense in back to back drives to end the first half when we were rolling. The cooks flag pick up and the bs holding

8 point lead should be held at home by this defense

We couldn't run for crap yesterday. Ingram had 22 carries for 2.5 yards per carry. If anything, we needed to abandon the run earlier and throw some short passes to loosen up the defense. Maybe a screen or something in the flats.

Still..scored 28. That should have been enough.

Absolutely. But the offense is above reproach to most on here.

the first drive of the second half was terrible. Run, Run, Run ... when it was third and one, I knew they needed to get Morestead ready.

With a positive turnover differential, I agree. But that's not the case.

frick the announcers this whole weekend.

And, as i said, if we had a positive turnover margin, i would agree. But a special teams fumble to give them the ball deep in their own territory, and a Brees pic in the endzone doesnt make this OK. You can't turn the ball over like that.

No, but the defense is the reason we are 4-5.

The offense may occasionally have a less than stellar game. The defense just about always plays like crap.

Murphy's fumble isn't on the offense, that's a special teams mistake.

Brees had a bad interception, but played really well overall. Defense was atrocious. I knew as soon as the titans won the toss we were fricked, couldn't stop them all day.

Like against arizona when we were 1/4 in the RZ

Or the Bucs where we turned it over 3x and scored 19

Or the eagles where we completely shite the bed offensively with 4 offensive turnovers

Lol no. 17,19,19,22 with multiple turnovers putting defense in horrible positions. 80 percent of our losses directly related to subpar offensive play. ONE score in 2nd half against 1-6 team at home in our other loss.

Y'all need to form a RR fan club.

30 PPG.

I've not heard one single credible national analyst say one thing positive about the Saints defense.

Yet, on this board, we have people saying the offense is the problem.

This is a perfect example of that. If you said that on a call-in show ( a real one, not anything on WWL), they would call 911.

The offense is not "above reproach". I am angry that they don't score 35 PPG. That's the only way we can win.

Our offensive line fell apart in the 4th, Tennessee's defensive line is one of the best.

You're creating arguments for us. No one has said the defense isnt a big problem. No one

Scoring more than 7 in the 2nd half would have done the trick

I doubt you'll be praising him anytime soon.

Also, sorry I side-tracked your thread.
