With all the talk on Jack and Smith do you think if we are firm on our 1st and 2nd rounder being defense we could trade back, still get an elite DT or DE in the first and possibly snag Scooby and a wideout in the 2nd or 3rd . I say this because it could kill 2 birds with one stone. Anthony was a beast this year, but I feel he would make a major impact at OLB. Scooby looks like a clone of Kuechly.

SLB: Anthony
MLB: Scooby
WLB: Ellerbe

I really feel like a DL, likely DT in 2nd round from a theoretical strategy perspective is the way to go. It seems that this year, with DT you will get a 1st round talent at that position from where we pick in 2nd round.

With that being said, I hope we pick 2 defensive players in 1st 2 picks.

I doubt we'll move Anthony. Could Wright play SAM?

No because he plays like a less athletic version. He really does, he was looked at as a top 10 pick last year they were all on his nuts.

And I like Scooby Wright too. But he's nothing like Kuechly. Athletically, they are worlds apart.

they look NOTHING alike, other than the pigmentation of their skin.... Wright is a good player, and will fill a role on the right team, but to put him even in the same realm as Kuechly is absolutely absurd....

The unanimous All-American and Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year ranked among the top five players in the country with 163 tackles, 29 tackles for loss, 14 sacks and six forced fumbles. He was a one-man wrecking crew.

Possesses elite instincts. Appears to head in direction of the play like he knows the play call. Extremely active and always on the balls of his feet and ready to hunt. Plays with an insane amount of competitive fire. Flows quickly to point with downhill action and looking to disrupt. Is often able to force cutbacks or alter the running back’s track. Can time snaps and shoot gaps making him a dangerous blitzer. His 2014 season, which included 163 tackles, 29 tackles for losses, 14 sacks and six forced fumbles, is widely considered the most productive for a linebacker in college football history. Explodes with hips into tackles and finishes with his feet. Play speed is faster than timed speed thanks to combination of instincts and burst to the ball. Shows plus lateral agility with ability to engage in, shed, or beat the block.

Sounds pretty good to me.

he may be a decent pro but there is nothing about him comparable to Kuechly besides being white

Dude was a heisman candidate wtf are you talking about he was a damn beast in college, especially 2014. If someone is comparing him to kueclky it's because of his play and the way he affected the game in college.

I see someone posted the stats. He was even being compard to Luke by all the analysts in 2014 dude had 14 sacks and 163 tackles . He was supposed to be a top 10-15 lock at one point

You people are so short sighted. Remember when we shouldn't have wanted Beckham? We only wanted him because he went to LSU they said, Cooks is so much better. 3 years later
