First of all, the NFL isn't rigged.
Second of all, people act like non-scab refs are the greatest thing since sliced bread. They are human, and they are also rusty as hell... of course they are going miss some calls.

a couple rational posters over there. the reason San Diego got beat is for 2 reasons - 1) their secondary played for shite for most of the game, and couldn't stop an injured Colston from making them his bitch, and 2 allowing an injured OL player stay in the game, when clearly he couldn;t block and cost them a fumble to seal the game.

I'm not even mad at Charger fans for being mad. I understand it. IMO, the don't call that Gates PI if Harper doesn't fall. He was beat anyway and the holding was ticky tack. Also, they could have called PI on Jenkins when Harper picked the tipped ball, but they didn't. I'll take them, and will not apologize for it, but I can understand the frustration.
With that said, the game is solely in the hands of Norv Turner. One, he didn't run the football with Matthews when they had a lead. Two, 2 passes from the 2 yard line when the Saints can't stop anyone from running. Three, if the announcers could see that Gathier was hurt, why couldn't the coaching staff? We'd be crucifying Kromer/Vitt if those things happened and it cost the Saints a game.
