Has he visited the Saints? He'd be great fit in NOLA.

I'd agree with you if his hands weren't stone. He banks on his speed and athletism too much.

He's had some bad drops. But he's got better hands then people are giving him credit for.

Devery Henderson wasn't exactly known for his hands but he did fine in this scheme.

He's a Devery clone, IMO.

And, there is definitely a spot on this team for someone in that role.

Devery wasn't worth a 2nd round pick. Neither is Coates. I'd take him in the 3rd. I'm not bashing the guy...he is what he is. I wouldn't mind him on my team for the right value. Wherever he goes...you will see him make a great catch and then drop an easy first down.

Yeah if he's there in the 3rd maybe worth it. Certainly not a 1st or 2nd. We need a WR but it better be an Amari Cooper type if we draft that early.

The fact that we're talking about Coates in the 3rd shows you how deep this WR draft is. He's an early 2nd round guy in drafts of the past. It's a special WR draft...just like last year.

Devery was drafted in the 2nd round and played 9 seasons. I'll take that production any day of the week out of a 2nd round draft choice.

I do agree with though about not taking Coates in the 2nd. I'd definitely take him in the 3rd (depending on what we already picked).

took him quite a while though. 6 years to be precise. only then did he hit the 50 catch mark, and then in '10 dropped back to his 30 catch standard.

so if this is who we are comparing him to, then he is maybe worthy of a 4th-5th round selection

Would be a great 4th round pic. I wouldn't waste a 3rd round pic on him.
