Ladarius Green.

And we should go get him. When healthy, he's exactly what we need in a TE... when healthy.

Feel terrible for him. He just hasn't been able to stay on the field. But at least he got paid.

Sucks for the Steelers

2016 salary - $2,437,500
2017 dead money - $3,562,500
2018 dead money - $2,375,000
2019 dead money - $1,187,500

It's going to cost them $9,562,500 for 6 games, 18 receptions, 304 yards, & 1 TD. He also got a $4.75 million signing bonus last year.

He's had more concussions than Swann. Do not want.

too bad he's never healthy, you could tell the staff was annoyed with him over his rehab last season and now lingering concussion issues? Hard pass.

Actually, it'll cost them 3,562,000 this year in accelerated signing cap charges. But they also save his 5,000,000 base salary for the year.

Technically speaking, his 2017 cap charge was 5,000,000 + 1,187,500 (the 2017 signing bonus portion) - 2,375,000 (2018/2019 signing bonus portions) = cap savings of 2,625,000 for 2017.

Now in comparison to Coby Fleener, if the Saints cut him before June 1st, he costs them an additional 4.8 million dollars for 2017. If he is a post June 1st cut, he saves them $100,000 for 2017 with a 4.8 million dollar cap charge in 2018 too.

So while it didn't work out too great for the Steelers, they got out of it cleanly.

We can only dream of this.

Fleener still sucks though admittedly. Dude could drop a beachball thrown at him from 3 feet away

Coby Fleener's Receiver Rating of 83.9 ranked last of all TEs with at least 75 targets. That seems really hard to do with Brees as your QB.
