So a decent short yardage back who can score a lot of TDs in the red zone. Good pick up.

The future contract guys are basically try out guys. Don't sweat it.

Yeah the ACL is an issue, but 24 TDs in 4 years for a RB (23 in 3 seasons mind you) is pretty damn good in this day and age.

Yeah I always liked Tim Hightower. Didn't even realize he had such serious knee issues. Guess it's a low risk/high reward situation.

3rd and short back.

Had a nice year in 2010 with Arizona, but damn that's horrible to recover from.

I remember him

Don't remember the Saints going big on big-name injured veterans with futures contracts ever. Doubt he or Kenny Phillips amount to much, but it sounds like Payton knows he made a mistake last year and is looking for older guys who can hopefully provide character and leadership.

Nola article said he almost made the team this year but they went with Brian Leonard instead.

He wasn't a short yardage guy at all. He lined up as more of a 3rd down receiving type in their offense.

They could be trying to drive Ingrams contract down.

Wouldn't suprise me if we picked up another veteran RB

0% to do with MI. 0.0.

And we need a lot of RB depth. I would think vets and the draft will be used.

This is the same dude that ripped off a 70 yard run against us on the first series of the game in the 2009 divisional when he was playing for Arizona. Everybody thought it was the same ol saints that will continue the 3 game losing streak but we wound up winning 45-14 and a first step to our Super Bowl win in Miami.
