That's the main thing. They have to take a chance.

Great analysis of the CB market with a slant about Lewis from this Steelers fan site

Better corner play goes further in improving Safety play. (Though an upgrade at Safety is desperately needed) The extra pressure, hopefully, from the 3-4 will help the corners, which will help the Safeties.

With the market dropping the price, it potentially makes the price a lot cheaper for him. Agents are trying to get deals done.

I honestly would be fine with Lewis - young and just getting into his prime. I think he would be a great addition.

I just really like the potential of Nnamdi and Ryan.

Either way, one of these moves needs to happen.

You keep pimping Lewis in the Asomugha thread.

basically telling us... prepare to settle for this guy (who may be more beneficial in the long run)

The Pitt fans seem to want him to stay.

I have a feeling he's stays in NOLA!

The C Houston detroit deal at 5yrs 25 mil 6 mil guar. with a low 2.8 mil 2013 cap hit would be nice!

The way the 49ers are rolling this offseason and with our luck I think Nnamdi stays in SF

I'd be pretty darn excited for either Lewis or NA. They both bring different pluses and minuses. After last year any upgrades will be refreshing.

Nhamdi is going to sign with Frisco cause he's a gay dude that likes to do gay things and drink gay wine with the california white people.

If I remember correctly, they have traded away their backup QB, and they lost Delani Walker, Dashon Goldson, Isaac Sopoaga, and soon Ricky Jean Francois. They added Dorsey and Boldin, which took up all of their remaining cap space, and they still have 14 picks to fit in. Don't get so caught up in the clippings "niners after Woodson, niners after Reed, niners after Nnamdi, niners after Abraham" etc etc They are looking for the first guy who wants to come for virtually nothing because they have nothing to offer without making moves.

The price has to be right. He has had 1 exceptional season out of 10.

Think Saints will sign Harrison as his market seems non existent and gives Saints a veteran LB for what will surely be a very young group otherwise

Nader Mirfiq ?@Nader723 So Nnamdi Asomugha has left the 49ers facility without a deal. I hope the Saints bring him in.
