Is that really that big of a surprise? We don't have dick for a defense really. Name one household name on our defense that anyone in any fan base could recognize? Drew makes better than average players great. Our system, Payton, and Drew, make us great. (oh and how awesome of fans we are at home games)

Yeah but we have a better coach than any of those teams, although harbaugh is pretty decent.

Dude we aren't remotely close to a top roster. Outside of our guards, Graham, Colston, Sproles and Brees who on our team would the majority of the league really covet?

The logic behind any type of ranking system for players/rosters in the NFL is beyond flawed. Players hit their peek at different times, and year-to-year consistency is very difficult to achieve in the NFL.

OMG a team that went 7-9 last year and hasn't added any big name FA's isn't one of the top 5 rosters in the NFL?!!!!!!!!! I AM OUTRAGED!!!!!!!

Even when we had Payton, our roster wasn't top 5. Just like the Colts with Manning was never a top 5 roster.
