Looking at how well Dak Prescott has played through his first 4 NFL games, this guy truly looks like the real deal. I know it's still early, but the poise and leadership this guy is showing is truly impressive. He hasn't even thrown an INT yet.

I truly believe he would have been an awesome successor to Drew Brees if the Saints had picked him. It would be amazing if Drew Brees could be the modern day George Blanda and play until his late 40's, and who knows, maybe Drew could be that kind of rare player. I just hope that the Saints can keep the golden standard tradition going at QB once Drew retires.

If you didn't think this board became unbearable, trading up to take him would have been hell.

Dak Prescott almost single-handedly made Miss St. a contender in the SEC. Now that he's gone, the program has regressed again. Ever since the first time I saw him play, I was impressed with his play-making ability and poise. I would have drafted him in a heart-beat if I were Loomis. Although, on the other hand, this past draft might be one of the best in the Loomis-Payton era. Rankins, Thomas, Bell, Onyemata, and Lasco all look like solid picks that will contribute greatly to this team.

Not what I meant... My point was that we would pick him to succeed Drew eventually... not right away. Trust me, I want Drew to be the quaterback for the Saints as long as humanly possible.

So did 30 others teams it seems. Oh and all 32 teams missed out on that guard from LSU... whats his name. How could that even happen odds wise?

Awesome. Dak could have ridden the bench for years with us.

We really missed out

Well, I am thankful that no other teams in the NFC South picked him.

Dak is great no doubt, but Mullen won 9 games in 2010.

If we're playing the hindsight game, I wish we could've signed josh Norman

Why don't we try and build a team around Drew instead and worry about Drew's successor when he's wrapping it up

if anything, Dak is evidence that you can start a rookie QB day 1 and find some success. Best case scenario is Drew retires after we put together a nice run to end his career, suck for a year, and then get a top 10 QB on a rookie contract for 5 years.

best benefit of a rookie QB is getting him a rookie contract. You want your rookie QB to start right away these days.

It helps that he has an incredible offensive line and a good running game to work with. If those two things weren't in place, I don't think he would be having this type of success.

I figured he'd be good but didn't expect it to be this quick. He carried Miss St of all places to a #1 ranking at one point.

I honestly don't know that Romo gets the job back
