We went from having an old, crappy corps of receivers about two seasons ago to having three really good, young receivers. So that's a bright spot going into 2017.

The funny thing is that those jackass Browns released Willie Snead & Taylor Gabriel(Falcons). The Browns would have 4 good WR's if they could identify talent.

The Dolphins have a pretty good young 3 as well. Not as good as the Saints, but still not bad.

After the Bucs loss...we actually had someone on this board say that we had the worst WR's in the league & that Snead was soft. I'm not joking. Some people make some pretty absurd claims when they are pissed off.

The worse time to come on this board is during the games.

shite, if coleman would ever become an actual reliable target, that would give us a great quartet... he's not quite there.... size for days, but plays like a puddin'... hoping the light clicks for him, because physically he's got it...

hell, Lampman and even Dangerfield on the PS are possible replacements for Coleman if he doesn't though... i'd roll with either, or even both...

Being a big target, I've come to appreciate Graham and colston so much more. They knew they were going to get popped, but they held onto the ball for dear life knowing they were going to get popped anyway.

Remember my thread about three 1000 yard receivers in Week 1? Willie Snead needs to go off to make it but damn was I close!

No but I remember your thread from before last week's game saying Brees is done.

Colston, Graham and sproles were a better pass catching trio in 2011

brees has made a lot of pass catchers big money

Hard to evaluate WR talent when you don't have a QB worth a damn.
A QB makes his receivers.

I agree when it comes to actual games and scrimmages. You're spot on in that regard.

The coaches should be able to tell in practice by observing the WR drills. Regardless of how shitty the QB is...you can see the WR run his routes and also see how much separation he creates(even in games). When the QB can't hit an open guy, that's on the QB...not the WR.

You can evaluate WR's easier than any position in football imo, b/c it's just them vs a DB(1 on 1). The Browns organization is just a complete joke from top to bottom.

I agree. It takes some players longer to develop than others. We should have a better idea of his full potential in a couple of years. I think he's done a good job as our #4 this year. He's twice as good this year, compared to last year. He got more playing time & targets last year, but he looks more polished this year. I think being around Cooks, Thomas, & Snead everyday has helped him out.

If he reaches his full potential, he should be a red zone nightmare. His hands have gotten noticeably better since last year & he's pretty good at the back shoulder throw. I even saw him run over a DB in the Bucs game...that DB was pretty damn small, but he still trucked him easily.

My only complaint about him is that he should be much better at high pointing the ball over DB's. Colston and Graham were able to use their height advantage to accomplish this task on a regular basis. Michael Thomas is better than him in this area, & Coleman has like 3 or 4 inches on him.

What does your comment have to do with this thread? This is a thread about our trio of WR's.

I'd argue they are as good as the saints but their QB play is so far below that they don't shine as much.
