That article was written to appease the 124 rabid Panther fans, you have no idea what sort of pressure that editor has to deal with on a daily basis.

luke kuechly was the defensive player of year any list where he isn't #1 is wrong

When you look at stats, David had a better season.

I think he's great, but saying a list without him number 1 is wrong, well that's just silly.

maybe i was a little over expressive their stats are similar with david having more sacks and 1 more interception kuechly more tackles one plays outside the other inside you could put either at the top over the rest

it is a prediction list, so Byrd could easily be #1

David also had 83 stops to Luke's 65, 11 missed tackles to Luke's 15, 17 QB hurries to Luke's 9.

He's easily better

I find it weird that it's a panthers article and they don't have Kuechly number 1 when that would actually be a valid non-homer opinion.

Gerald McCoy is no doubt the number one defensive player in the NFC south. Best DT In the NFL.

After this coming crappy season, the Panthers will be calling the Jaguars to get the contact information on the stadium section cover maker.

Opinions are a joke, and the bottom line is I don't care! The important factor is how the Saints D play as a unit starting in September!
