A 7th is a flyer pick. Most of those guys don't even make the practice squad.
As for the second, next year's picks are valued a round down, but we got a VERY early third and best case we only lost 3 spots, with worst case being 34 spots. The middle is about 18 spots.
But this was for a guy they had a high grade on, so it makes sense from that standpoint. Plus the fit is great.

Kamara is definitely a good fit. I think he will excel as a 3rd down back.

These guys are expected to start on special teams at best. You can't lock into one position like that.
I actually think another defensive player (likely LB or secondary) is more likely because we need more tackling on special teams.
Receivers generally play either gunner or returner. If a great gunner is there then yeah maybe WR. If not then definitely leaning defense.
Or maybe we make Chad happy and go punter.
But more seriously I wouldn't rule out FB either as Kuhn is not young.
Also wouldn't rule out Chad Kelly as we don't need him to play this year at all. Potential 3rd round talent in the 6th. You IR him and then see what he has next year. Definite flyer type pick.

The very last type of player we may draft is a super project pass rusher. Someone super raw but has talent to mold.
