New Orleans Saints Will Be Well Rested when They Travel to Play 49ers
The New Orleans Saints had plenty of time to rest up for their September 20th game against the San Francisco 49ers after beating the Minnesota Vikings last
Thursday, 14-9. The New Orleans Saints looked disoriented in their first game as the game went on but they have plenty of time to work out the kinks before this Monday Night Football contest.

The San Francisco 49ers were picked by every sports writer in the country to win the NFC West this year. The 49ers came out flat against the Seattle Seahawks and their passing game looked nothing short of non existent. Alex Smith completed 26 passes, six of them to his running back Frank Gore. The running game with Gore also struggled. Gore was held to a paltry 38 yards by the Seattle Seahawks. Are the Seahawks that good or are the 49ers that bad? This game will go a long way to prove if the San Francisco 49ers deserve to be in NFL Playoffs talk.

Passing Attacks Are Complete Opposites for New Orleans Saints & San Francisco 49ers

Anyone that was burying the New Orleans Saints prematurely will be in for a rude awakening in this game. Drew Brees will come out with something to prove in this game and the San Francisco 49ers defense is not going to be up to the task. Brees loves to spread the ball around and uses every player in the offense over the course f a game. Marques Colston is Brees best receiver but he doesn't focus on just Colston.

The Saints passed too much in the beginning of their game with Minnesota but don't expect that to happen in this game. Brees has two great running backs in Pierre Thomas and Reggie Bush and both are incorporated into the passing game.

San Francisco 49er Alex Smith is a curious quarterback. He has never developed into a star at the position but since being drafted number one overall out of the University of Utah, he has managed to stay in the NFL and is now back under center for the San Francisco 49ers. Waiting in the wings is another overall number one NFL Draft pick, David Carr.

Get to go play in that wonderful weather in SF. I think the Saints should be up for this one.

Awesome.

Definitely think this is going to be a tough one. Hopefully Alex Smith sucks it up enough to let our defense get after them and control the game.

I think the offense comes out pissed and the defense plays another good game.

28-17, Saints frick around in the 4th quarter trying to kill the clock, 9ers getting a late score to make it more respectable.

Damn it will be a long wait until we play again. We should be well rested by the time this game rolls around.

I looked at the games we've played against San Francisco in the Sean Payton era and we've played really well each time. Averaging around 30 ppg and only giving up around 12.

Hopefully we can sharpen up on the offensive side of the ball

Singletary is going to have to go the full Monty on his team to get them fired up.

See, this is our problem. That's all Singletary seems to be good for. He's not even in the ballpark of what constitutes an X's and O's coach. That's actually ok if you have a competent staff, but our OC is absolute garbage.

You can't just Tim Tebow ra-ra go team your way to victory in the NFL. If you could, we'd go undefeated.
