Safe to say thus far we have to chalk the Cooks trade up as a W

In NE Cooks is showing he is what we thought he was, an extremely talented deep threat but not the WR1 he fancies himself as and boy that ramczyk pick looks better every day.

I think it was a win for both sides at this point.

Agreed. I still feel like they won the jimmy trade too believe it or not.

Yeah, i mean its certainly a win for us at this time considering the need for Ramczyk on the line thus far. Would we have addressed OT in a different means had we not had this pick? Certainly possible. Our offense certainly is missing the dynamic of Cooks threat but without the OT spots being halfway taken care of, it certainly wouldn't be mattering much if Drew is getting killed in the backfield.

and lets all thank San Fran for jumping to get Rueben Foster. This was a blessing in disguise.

It's been a win-win so far. Both teams have the same record and have gotten production out of what they received in the trade. Not to mention the injuries that have occurred at the players positions (Pats WR, Saints OT). It'll be interesting to see as time goes on

Absolutely. I was happy about the trade on Day 1, and happier we used it on what is looking like a very good O-lineman, which we desperately need.

He has 3 tackles on the year and he's currently injured with a high ankle sprain.

I'd say our first 4 picks were home runs so far.

Lattimore - enough said. He is ridiculous
Ram - still learning, and has been forced into playing multiple spots. Been decent
Williams - very solid
Kamara - electric offensive player we've been missing

Then the others have looked at least decent

Without that pick we might not have won a game given the injuries we’ve had at that position

Analzone has been nothing short or remarkable. I hope he doesn’t miss too much time with that shoulder injury.

Don't have to pay him 12mil+ and starting RT for 5 years on a rookie deal

100% agree. I think Ram has been the key no one has talked about. With the injuries at OT we've been dealt with, he's been asked to step up immediately and he's been up to the task.

I like how people keep calling Ram decent so far lol.

He is a Rookie and has been starting since week 1. He isn't even guaranteed to finish the game on the same he starts the game at nor is he promised the same guy on side him.

Ram is holding his own and looks like a NFL player out there against some pretty solid NFL DLs.

Idk many rookie tackles that could function doing what we have asked him to do.

The only trade deal I truly haven't liked is Sproles for a draft pick.

He hasn't been amazing, like Lattimore. He has been solid considering. But that is incredible considering what he has been asked to do. All signs point to him being a damn good tackle once he's able to settle in at one spot.

Different case. He, like Grubbs, refused a pay cut and was about to be cut. That we got anything for two players we were going to cut is an automatic win, regardless of what else transpired.

I understand, but he wasn't necessarily getting paid that much was he? And wasn't there still dead money after the trade?
