Probably because it was the head or near it. Such a bang bang play.

Because this team needs to rebuild. We aren't going to be in the mix this season, the division is too strong and we have too many holes.

If we trade Vaccaro, Vonn Bell will be our most experienced starter in the entire secondary. And he's a 2nd year player. That alone scares me into trading away the only experience back there.

I'd be happy with either one. Payton loves to trade with Bill!!

Yeah let's keep trading away our best players it seems to be working out really well for us

Vacaro already checked out and I'm so glad the saints aren't going to pay him big money
He simply isn't worth it yes he has experience but might as well let Vonn bell play he is vacaro with a much higher upside
Whoever thinks saints should sign vacaro after this year are stupid.
They are actually making the right decision for once and it gives .e hope

I hope we get a quality player or draft pick in return. He hasn't played up to his potential.

Barron was traded for a 4th and 6th iirc.
Not sure if we can even get that from anyone. He's a slightly above average player who has to stay in the box. He cannot hawk as a free safety. He cannot play as a traditional strong safety.
Maybe another team can coach him up, but his value is of a nickel corner.

We need a GM who can rebuild our roster.
We are stuck with mediocrity now. We have a great QB, but a poor OL.
We have a weak D, but weapons at the skill positions on O.
7-9, 8-8 every year is not getting you in the playoffs. The management needs to realize this, and go into a rebuilding mode.
All options need to be on the table.

If we get rid of him it will be Malcom Jenkins 2.0. "He never made that many big plays, limited, etc."
Jenkins goes to Philly and has practically been the centerpiece of their defense. Vaccaro will be similar if we trade him away.

if we cannot coach it or get it out of him, than its a moot point.
5 years: 71 games
4.5 sacks, 6 FF (4 FR), 6 INTs (2 TD), 38 PDs, 9 STFs
5 years: 57 (Most will be 72 this year)
6.0 sacks, 4 FF (2 FR), 5 INTs (0 TD), 23 PDs, 14 STFs
Jenkins was a better safety.

Overpaying him to continue to underachieve isn't a good option either.

I hate this board sometimes.

This is based on what we're missing for a good stretch of the season, not being 0-1.

Actually the past few seasons.
Will this season be much different than the past two or three seasons?
Have we improved on the OL, and on D? That's the question management needs to ask?

Vaccaro had the worst PFF grade on defense last week. Worse than Harris. The guy barely makes any plays and can't cover. His only positive trait is that he's an above average tackler. That's it.
I wouldn't mind a trade if we got halfway decent value.
