Some try to poopoo him on here to excuse our epic frickup. I don't even feel like looking it up but can't imagine Collins' performance was much worse than the guy drafted at #13.

Its like if the Saints didn't waste all the greatness we could of had we could have done...better?

He makes 2.55M this year
And we don't have the Cap space
Some moves would have to be made

$2.25m is freed up next week from Browner's post "June 1" cut.

No one is going to give up a ton for Leary. He's an OK player, but far from a world beater. The main issue is that this is his last season under contract. Cowboys would probably jump on a 5th rounder, settle on a 6th. The Saints probably won't make any offer right now. If the guards look like arse a few weeks into preseason, then they might. But not now.

Have to take compensation picks into account. They may get something similar without trading him if he signs a nice contract next year

I wouldn't go that far. But he's definitely overrated because of the few highlight plays

It is impossible to be overrated if you went undrafted and contribute during your rookie season, no matter what circumstances caused you to be undrafted. That is insanely dumb.

Because the draft is the only way a player can be rated?

That is insanely dumb

Please, name the rating system that you're referring to.

I can't wait to hear what you come up with.

Yes, he was. In the 2015 draft. A year ago.

Is he talked about by anyone other than LSU homers as a top ten talent today? is he being paid as a top ten talent? If the answer to either question are 'no,' then how, by what metric can he be considered "overrated?"

Further, who do you think is a better OL today? La'el or Peat? I certainly think you could make a case for either and not be wrong, but I'd take La'el over Peat without hesitation.
