Mickey Loomis informed him around noon today.

Rick Reiprish :"it was a good year, a good run , but not good enough"

Rick Reiprish said his role didn't change much this year except he was asked to spend one week of every month in office.

Again Rick Reiprish just told me he was let go by the Saints around noon today. He was caught off guard but understands the business.

quote:

Rick Reiprish:" I enjoyed the time with Sean Payton and Mickey Loomis - no hard feelings. We won a Super Bowl together."

Somebody's gotta pay for taking last year's draft off.

Everyone thought this guy was pretty good a few years ago.

Guess last year's terrible draft has a fall guy now.

well to be fair, we're only small changes away from sweeping changes in the front office with the move of pace and whosyamacallit went with him

If not for the '06 and '13 drafts, he would have been gone a long time ago. I think the team is doing a great job admitting they have a problem drafting talent. I think Ireland will improve them in that area.

A chimp throwing darts at a draft board could have done better than the Saints did in last year's draft.
