Didn't see him play a lick last year so i have no idea what the cat has left. But no problem with me if CSP wants him. Always thought we would get a vet FA WR of some sort.

worth a tire kick with all the inexperience we have at WR.

Has had a great career. With the emergence of T.Y. Hilton, he played second fiddle at best last year. I had him in fantasy so kept up with him and his numbers. Had a decent amount of games where he would catch 5-6 balls with decent yards. Very few touchdowns. I would love to have him in Black and Gold if he still has some left in the tank.

Don't think the tank is empty. Worth a phone call I'd imagine.

We certainly should show some interest. Whether or not we would be a top priority if he only ones want more year is another story - hometown considerations aside. There's a few more teams that have better championship prospects that would probably command the attention before us.

Interesting to see that James Jones is still a free agent on a different note.

Free agent WR Reggie Wayne said "teams have been calling" and he "plans to play" this season.

We're assuming Wayne means NFL teams. He looked washed up last season, posting an abysmal 58.2 percent catch rate despite running high-percentage routes in the league's most prolific passing offense outside of Green Bay. Now heading into his age-37 season and coming off a 2013 torn ACL and 2014 torn triceps in addition to an offseason knee scope, Wayne looks like a guy just trying to hang on. If signed, he shouldn't get any guaranteed money or be guaranteed a roster spot. Perhaps Wayne could mentor a younger receiving corps. Jul 17 - 11:04 AM

I'd rather have our younger guys have a chance to play. He'd be great to sign for mentoring with the understanding that he's probably not going to play. But I don't know if he'd want that or if I'd want to offer that to him after his distinguished career.

No thanks. He would add nothing but a used roster spot. He needs to retire.

Same here. I'd rather give Toon, Jones, and Coleman the snaps.

Wouldn't be bad as a back up plan just in case Coleman and Jones suck arse

This. Outside of Darren Sharper, the team hasn't had much success under Payton bringing in old players who are on their last leg. Olin Kruetz, Jonathan Goodwin (last year) & Champ Bailey didn’t turn out as planned. Leave Wayne unemployed or let him go elsewhere.

It's a low risk high reward play. The only one of those that actually kind of hurt was Kreutz.

Did you actually watch him play last season? I did. There isn't anything left in the tank.

Look at his age. Look at his latest surgical procedures. That's a lot of scar tissue in various places at an age where the human body begins to not respond positively like it once did.

Really? Did you watch Goodwin closely last season? He was awful & a huge liability at center last season.
