In the last 5 games of 2015, when the offensive line started to play better with the emergence of Peat and others, as well as the emergence of Cooks:

29.4 ppg, including 38 against Carolina

Brees:
146/213
68.5%
332 ypg
12 TDs
1 Int
108 Passer Rating

Cooks (including Tampa where he was limited):
29 receptions
80 ypg (goes to 93 if you take out tampa)
3 TDs

We should, hopefully, have a better offensive line in 2016 to go along with the addition of Fleener and Thomas.

This has the potential to be one of our best offenses.

Yes, hopefully Bree's stats can be accrued in the first three quarters and not in desperation time when defenses leave middle of the field wide open.

Saints went 3-2 during that stretch and lost the 2 games by 1 score. Carolina took the lead with 1 minute to go in the game.

While I agree the offensive line will probably be better, I still worried about the depth we have at the guard position.

We need one of the UDFA rookies to step up and earn a spot. My money is on Landon Turner first and Jack Allen second. Ryker Mathews is very versatile, but he did get injured yesterday. No word yet of the severity of the injur or how long he'll be out. Avery Young is also very versatile. I'm excited to see these guys when we're in full pad tomorrow. We need atleast one to make the final 53.

I agree. I can see one of the UDFA guards stepping up, particularly Landon Turner.

1). Our secondary will be pretty much healthy for beginning of TC for first time in a # of years.

2). Fleener, Thomas, Cooks, hopefully Spillers, among others

3). Seems Vonn Bell might be good, I said might so calm down. Rumors are PJ Williams looking good.

4) Lost Kikaha but maybe Tull and Gwacham will step up

5). Not going in with a rookie kicker

6). We play Falcons twice

7). Fairley and Rankins. Also 2 coverage LBs in Robertson and Ellerbe instead of just Ellerbe who gets hurt a lot

Seems this thread will be better to know once preseason is about halfway over

We've got a stud (fringe elite) LDE. Fairley is a good DT. If Rankins hits the ground running, I think he could be an above average starter. So, despite having a massive hole at RDE (IMO the most important position on defense), I think the other 3 can take enough pressure off of the weakside guy to open things up.

And seriously, why the frick haven't we brought in Freeney? The guy was legit last season. If he came in and played like he did last year, I really think we could have a top 10 DL. My only guess is that he's waiting for an injury (i.e. Juneyah in DC) to make a team desperate enough to overpay a bit. I'd like it if the Saints offered him a reasonable 2 year deal with some guaranteed money in year 2. That would give Freeney some insurance if he falls off of a cliff (literally or in terms of talent), and could potentially give us a steal if he doesn't. And if he sucks and we end up with ~$1m in dead money in 2017, so what? We're used to that kind of thing.
