More I watch on this guy the more I like him. Natural tackler in space, always wraps the players legs. He has good pass coverage, good lateral movement, decent ball skills. Seems like a natural mike linebacker.

I know most here think we should snag him in the second at 44. Most have him graded out as a 2nd-3rd rounder. Do you think he's there at 44? Hope the Saints somehow get this guy.

I'd take him at 31. I'd move up if I I could get (kendricks, perryman or Anthony)

If the front office feels they can be your MLB and be a difference maker then I am all for it

One of the five ILB is a must draft at 31 or 44. I think all our other needs can be filled with the BPA strategy, but we need a legitimate QB of the defense to fill Lofton's shoes

I like a lot too. He is a beast, lays the wood and does everything you said regarding tackling. Have to remember you are probably watching highlight tapes though. They don't show too much pass coverage, because everything I have read on him states he is a big liability in man situations.

The kid is definitely a beast with a nose for the ball though. I wouldn't have a problem taking him there if they feel he will be fine on D given his shortcomings.

After looking at all the main ILB guys I feel that Kendricks is definitely the best in coverage, anthony isn't bad himself. But neither lay the wood like Perryman or Mckinney do.

Worry about how physical Kendricks is though. Didn't miss tackles, but I wonder if some of the softer wrap up tackles he had would work against an NFL back. Anthony just appears to play slow at times. I am really curious to see what order these guys fall in.

Perryman is a thumper who will automatically add toughness to your defense. But you better believe he will be some type of liability in coverage. So for me its reach.

As for myself, I really like Dawson . There is no LB more instinctive or that has produced more. And that includes Kendricks. I know many people say that Kendricks is the best coverage LBer but I would argue that Dawson had more interceptions and pass breakups than the UCLA LBer. In fact Dawson produced more than Kendricks in all stats except tackles(13 more than Dawson).

Yet I would still hesitate to select Dawson at 31 because of his red flags(minor IMO) and disappointing combine, although he did improve at his pro day. But at 44 he would be my guy.

Unless we take a guy who took a drastic fall, most likely who ever we take will be considered a reach, just because there aren't 32 first round talents in this draft. Might as well take a position of need at that point.

I have him and Anthony right in the same range. I'd be ecstatic with either at 44. Kendricks rates A #31 IMO
