when you remove the black and gold glasses it's been obvious that Ingram has been terrible for the vast majority of his career. Weight issues, reports of him being lazy in practice/off-season, terrible production as a RB.. dude is a fricking bust

I hate when people state their personal opinions on here without any analysis or statistics.

He's nowhere near as bad as everyone on here makes him to be but its pointless to argue cause y'all made up your mind on him a long time ago.

Stop defending him. He's the definition of average. There is nothing special about him.

He's an average back. Had he been from Texas and drafted in the 3rd round more people on here would like him.

His replacement missed 2 years of football and looks better in EVERY FACIT OF THE GAME.

Let's move on. Hightower and Lasco are serviceable. Add an UDFA or cheap vet (DMac?) and never think of MI again.

No. Stop wanting cheap RBs. Hightower, Lasco Ingram are all garbage. Draft Fournette and never look back.

No, Draft defense first. there are a lot of good backs in this draft, we can get a good one in later rounds

I feel like the truth is somewhere between what the purple and gold, Bama hating glasses see and what the contrarian, "TAKE OFF YOUR TIGAH GOGGLEZ morons!" crowd preaches.

He's okay. Not terrible, not great, but undoubtedly not worth what we gave up to draft him. I feel like that's at the heart of most people's problems with him, even though it's A.) too late to change it, and B.) really not his fault.

These are 2 totally different things. I really don't think where he went to college is as relevant to his unpopularity here as some make it out to be. But because he's disappointing, people insult him and taking pot shots at bama in the process just fits.

The draft position is somewhat relevant though. Because we burned a first rounder on him (actually a 2nd round pick PLUS a 1st from the following year), he does have to carry the weight of that cost. Guys with that draft status are expected to impact a franchise in a much more positive way than he has.

I think average is the description. His numbers were good last year, average the year before. Terrible is Trent Richardson or Rashad Jennings.

Weight issues

Link? I don't think that's been an issue. He was never a scar back and hasn't had weight issues.

Link? Never heard that.

Numbers don't back that up. Not saying he's great by any stretch. Average.

The college has a lot to do with it cause outside of goal line touchdowns Jeremy Hill has been below average and has had a massive fumbling problem including the worst fumble last season yet most here think Hill is miles better.

thank you, this x100

Then they'll point to his one outlier game that skews the numbers this year immensely.

8 games this year, 2 games >5.0 YPC, 6 games <4.0 YPC...

Take out the ridiculous Browns game which shouldn't count anyway and he's at around 3.5 even with the other game.

It makes it even worse when you look at last year's numbers too..

17 games (including playoffs)
3.59 YPC

12 games =< 4.0 YPC
all while fumbling 4 times (and losing 4) on 235 carries
