dude, this is the kinda stuff that has rubbed some the wrong way. We have to deal with enough shitty opinions and info around here without injecting stuff out of nowhere. I can pull up a ton of thoughts from Bleacher Report, SB Nation, or other fan based sources. They are really no more than any post here though (many times much less). 'Rams Want Austin' doesn't reflect the speculation which it is. It prolly is more MSB than ST info also. For the next few days that will be more accepted tho. Not trying to hammer but help ya fit in better as a good contributing newbie.

How is fan speculation all that different from fan generated mock drafts?

mocks are by essence and design nothing but speculation

we're talking info here. 'Rams Want Austin' or "St. Louis Rams will look to trade up" are absolute statements about the that team. Message boards are about opinions though. Any opinion is okay too. It is however important to sort out what is news or facts vs. speculation. If he would have responded to my Who is Sports Whispers? inquiry with he is a good guy that i have followed and seems to be point on I'd have said nothing. Or if the source was known as a Schefter or Glazer, same thing. Dude has been catching some flak for his posts. Just trying to help not hammer.

Well most of the "legit" info from sources is misinformation in regards to the draft.

Most is a pretty big statement. Smokescreens are a part of the process but most is easily identifiable. The more misinformation there is the more important sharing solid intel becomes.

As said, I'd normally just check the post and move on. Nothing to see here. The new guy has been catching flak and thought I could help him out.

This thread was obviously meant to generate discussion for those who want or think we should pick Austin and how that trade would affect our options. Nit-picking a newb isnt very becoming unless this is the RB or SR, both which i find annoying.
