I don't watch it closely but I never pay attention to this because it seems like we play distraction games with interviews and we have never drafted any player we talk to before drafting them, but I could be wrong about that

Out of all of the players I figured the saints would talk to, dural isn't one of the them. He got progressively worse his last 2 years

Pretty sure Cooks is the only one the Saints ever interviewed at the combine and then drafted. He brings the curve up to less than one percent on the interviewee-to-drafted odds.

These interviews are usually for prospects they basically put on the back-burner scouting, and/or have incomplete info on, and/or need clarification on scouting discrepancies. Payton said as much in a past interview, except for the back-burner part.

You generally can't read anything into this.

Maybe they talk to guys they would like to invite as an UDFA if they are not drafted. If Dural is not drafted I'm sure the Saints would give him an invite.
