Post your Realistic "Good" Draft

A draft that could happen and is based on some semblance of reality, that you would think is "good". Meaning any trades have to be somewhat realistic and based on the trade value chart, and players should be somewhere in the neighborhood of where we are picking on reputable websites like CBS.
You should also base it a little bit on what the Saints themselves have been mentioning as needs (DLine, Safety, OLB, etc), instead of your own perceptions...to a certain degree.
I'll do mine. First, we trade back with Buffalo and pick up their 3rd and 6th round picks. We move back to 19, they get 12.
1) Noah Spence, DE, Eastern Kentucky
2) Su'a Cravens, SS/OLB, USC
3a) Leonte Carroo, WR, Rutgers
3b) Javon Hargrave, DT, South Carolina State
4) Sebastian Tretola, OG. R-Kansas
5) Landon Turner, OG, North Carolina
6) Kalan Reed, CB, Southern Miss
7) Deon Bush, FS, Miami
I'll admit I'm a Spence fan and like him more than most. I like Cravens for his versatility and just think he is a playmaker, and there have been rumors the Saints like him a lot.
So, post something that you would consider a good draft, that is realistic. Let's see him and get to know some players some of us might not be considering.

I'm not going to give seven rounds, but if we can get Shaq Lawson or Treadwell in the first, followed by Cravens in the second? I'll take it.

1. DT Rankins/Butler
2. Best DE available hopefully Spence/Ogbah type faller
3. OG Westerman/Garnett/Alexander
4. WR Lawler/Garrett/Peake
5. RT Willie Beavers, SS Killebrew, FS TJ Green, CB Rashard Robinson, C Evan Boehm
7. WR Boehringer, K Fairbairn, CB Juston Burris
Between Bosa, Buckner, Lawson, Floyd, Dodd, Ogbah, Spence and other ends I think 1 out of these 7 can make it to our 2nd.

I think in the first 4 rounds we need
1. One to two front 7 players
2. AN interior OL
3. A WR
Ideally, we take best player available. Shaq Lawson I think, is our top target. However, I think if he isnt on the board, our options open up. While I think Rankins would probably be our 2nd best choice, the DT crop is deep. So I think we can afford to address another position, and wait until the 2nd or 3rd RD to draft a guy that slips, like say a Chris Jones, Vernon Butler or Nkemdiche, or just go with some of the projected 2nd-3rd day DTs, Billings, Kenny Clark, Austin johnson, Sheldon Day, Javon Hargrave, Washington OSU
With that being said, if we wait until the 2nd to get our DT, and Lawson is off the board, I think Darron Lee comes into play, as well as Noah Spence, Leonard Floyd, Hargreaves, and William Jackson.
So I'll project mine with Shaq Lawson gone, and waiting until 2nd-3rd to get a DT.
1st- William Jackson, CB HOU
2nd- Josh Perry, LB OSU
3rd- Sheldon Day, DT Notre Dame
4th- Mike Thomas, USM WR
5th- Spencer Drango G Baylor
7th- Lamar Louis LSU OLB

Love him too. Not a great route runner but he's got Victor Cruz/Henderson type speed we need again.

With no trades:

2: Garnet/Whitehair
3: Willie Henry/Maliek Collins/Javon Hargrave/Kaufausi
4: Eric Murray/Harlan Miller
5: Tajae Sharpe/Rashad Higgins
7: OL flier like VI Terofilo
Say a trade with the jets happens for 20/3rd rounder/5th rounder/future mid pick
1: Spence/Ogbah
2: Jon Bullard/Austin Johnson
3a: Westerman/McGovern/Tretola
3b: best DB available
4: Joe Dahl/Landon Turner/Rees Ohiambo
5a: Tajae Sharpe/Rashard Higgins/Geronimo Allison/USM Mike
5b: Matt Judon/Iadonnis

That would be a Grand slam draft but you can still get a decent guard in the 4th or even 5th and feel the Wr hole in the 3rd.

The NFL is for poor people
Posted on 4/21/16 at 2:04 pm to BattinRouge11
Not so much poor as dumb. But obviously the NFL preys on those who are both poor and dumb

Not bad but frick Alexander. He would not translate well to the pros in my opinion.
