I did not see a single NOPD or LSP officer after the game. They are usually directing traffic on Poydras and the immediate area but there were ZERO in sight. They were certainly there before the game. First officers I saw were on Tulane near Broad and they were JPSO deputies. Just found it odd.

Must've walked out with your eyes closed. There was like 10 of them making sure people didn't across Sugar Bowl Dr. at the wrong spot.

Possibly. But there was not a single officer at Poydras and Claiborne, nor at the I-10 entrance ramp area near Bolivar and Bertrand where they usually are. And even if they are on Sugar Bowl drive I still have to dodge traffic and take my life in my hands crossing it.

They don't want to interfere with protesters.

NOPD sucks, needs LSP and JPSO to pick up their slack...

Boohoo... if you’re grown enough to go to the big city and attend an NFL game, you should be able to handle walking across the street without a cop holding your hand or telling you it’s safe to do so

I think he was referring to directing traffic (which they have not done well in a while).

I went to Happy's after the game to let traffic die down so I cannot comment on post game

however, when we got off the Dome exit at 7am before the game the police presence around the Dome was a lot higher than normal. Not sure what the deal was or if there was any specific reason

Wish they would protest and not even work the games. Let those ignorant fools take care of themselves while they spew their misguided hate.

NOPD can direct traffic, homicides are the problem. The reality is cops from a lot of departments want the security over time, not that NOPD can control a crowd.

You do realize that we are talking about the cops working outside controlling the traffic, crowds, and helping people cross the streets.
What the hell would them not showing up to work do to hurt the players?
