I appreciate the fact unlike the Tiger fan rantards, you guys and girls actually love the saints and want to discuss football and not rip each other on these threads when someone says something not status quo or spells a word incorrectly. Having said all that, STILL understanding the NFL is a multl-billion dollar business, are the saints really going to franchise the savior and super bowl mvp Drew Damn Brees??? I know Irsay doesn't run the saints does he? The franchise tag is the death sentence! No one comes back from that! Ask Justin Smith, Dunta Robinson, Jared Allen, Abreyo Franklin, etc. Its about money on both sides and I understand that. Can someone please reassure me that Mickey Loomis is gonna be a man of integrity and wrap Brees up with a long term deal. This has been the worst football week of my life with the Tigers and Saints losing like this. I dont wanna hear no damn franchise tag.

He meant come back to the team i.e. Jared Allen and the Chiefs FWIW. And although he wasn't right, I understand why he would be worried that we put our savior QB in a shitty situation

We have franchised players in the past and kept them. Did we not franchise Will Smith and Charles Grant and keep them both on a long term deal later?
