Landon Collins leads the League among safeties in tackles, sacks, and interceptions. Arguably the top safety in the NFL right now.

wouldn't have picked him anyway, safety wasn't a big need that high in the draft

So you think Anthony, a 1st Round pick, has worked out well?

Yes that is great and all but we did not need a safety we needed a LB

If we could re draft do you think Collins would last until the 30th pick nope so we would still not get him

Anthony looked very promising his rookie year not sure what happened

What is it with this board and wanting to draft a million high round safeties?

I remember Anthony being impressive also, sounds like he doesn't know the gameplan well enough. Collins being a hometown kid, would've been nice.

Point is this team would have never thought about picking Collins because SS wasn't a need.

not even arguably at this point. Whether he is able to keep it up remains to be seen, but he's been the best safety in the nfl this year by a wide margin.

His scouting report said he was bad in coverage. As a rookie he was one of the worst in the league. This year he is #1. Hindsight is 20/20 but you can't blame the front office for going front 7 with Byrd and Vaccaro on the roster

What idiocy exactly are you talking about? My point is Collins would be great with Vacarro back there, yes, all hindsight. How many Saints or SEC games do you make from Vermont?

Doesn't he play a similar role to Vaccaro though? If so than he and Vaccaro wouldn't be playing at the same time. Of all the players this team has missed on drafting the last few years, Collins isn't one because he was never really a need.

He's played well, but it's not like we've got no safeties. If anything the guy I'm mad we missed out is on Kendricks up in Minnesota who we could have had at the same spot.

Exactly. I more mad we didn't draft on him instead of Collins because he plays the same position as SA (a projected 2-3rd round pick)

I's never about who you didn't draft. That's not a reasonable complaint. It's always about who you did draft.

Anthony, to me, was talented enough to become a quality NFL starter. For whatever reason, he's not able to do that at this point. Not identifying whatever reason that is (doesn't really matter) is an absolute failure on the part of the Saints.

I wanted Marcus Peters at 13 and Malcom Brown at 31. I understand Anthony has been disappointing but we weren't even looking at S. Not with Byrd and Vaccaro, would we like Collins now? Maybe but he was never even on the board for us.

I don't consider a kid that goes to bama a hometown kid. His hometown is in Tuscaloosa now. Should have picked the honeybadger in one of the 3 opportunities he had. Even though the crazy kid smoked fake marijuana in college. Or should have picked la'ell collins in any round at a position of need. #NFLU
