13. New Orleans Saints (5-11)

While the Saints have a handful of solid players on offense, the only players on that side of the ball with an overall PFF grade above 81.0 last year were quarterback Drew Brees and left tackle Terron Armstead. At 37 years old, Brees is bound to decline eventually. On defense, their DTs were among the most-improved units in the league this offseason, but they still lack depth on the defensive line, have question marks at cornerback after Delvin Breaux, and their linebackers have graded out poorly. On the bright side, Breaux should continue to improve. He recorded 15 passes defended in 2015, tied for third-most at the position.

So we can just say they're trolling right?

Every prediction that was below 8-8 in the prediction thread was called a troll.

Probably just a typo and meant 11-5

So they can predict that Breaux will continue to improve, but the young LBer core will continue to have poor grades?

"Listen to it. In the end, they'll owe you an engraved apology."

Let's prove 'em wrong.

We are going to be pretty bad IMO. Really wish we'd have traded Breesus while he was still worth something.

The Trade Brees Cult's level of tardness is beyond comprehension. It makes no sense to trade the best player this franchise has seen when he still has an adequate amount of gas in the tank. We'd definitely be "pretty bad" if we traded him.

My only problem with PFF's prediction is that it is mostly based on the assumption that this is the year Drew declines and player grades rarely change year to year.

We have yet to see any evidence of Drew trending in that negative direction so far and basing a defenses abilities around individual grades instead of how they work as a unit gives fault to his opinion.

Saints D just needs to be better than last or 2nd to last as a whole. Losing the worst defender in the NFL last year gives us a boost. As does adding the best interior DL player in the draft, a vet signal caller, etc.

5-11 is a bit low but our floor for this season isn't far from it.

I've really been critical of Drew's decision making over the last couple of seasons, but I'm sure a lot of it has been due to poor pass blocking and really no playmakers on offense, so he's been forcing the issue.

We've never finished worse than 7-9 with Payton and Brees. I really don't see that changing.

We could very well finish 7-9 again, but there's no way we're as bad as 5-11.

Seems a little low. I think we'd get 4-5 wins without Drew Brees.

I would love to get off to a good start this season. Raiders, Giants, Falcons, Chargers

3-1 start would be pretty nice...

Not trying to be a biased fan, but who would be the 1?

Probably either the Giants or the Chargers. We haven't played well in NY, and traveling to the west coast is hard.

If Brees plays all 16 games and isn't sacked a million times, he can get us to 7-9 while playing along side the worst defenses in the history of the NFL.

5-11 does not bear out.

More inclined to say Raiders and giants more than chargers honestly

Chargers are, well, the chargers. Raiders are the trendy pick right now.
