I'm going to get down voted but as a defensive player I don't think it was a flag. He got his helmet on the front side of brees. Didn't target him.
It looked like his helmet grazed Brees, but I could be wrong. That's just my opinion.

That's a terrible call. I'm glad we got the penalty but shite that was bad. It wasn't even an overly hard hit.

Completely agree. It's a foul by the book but it's an atrocious, game changing type of penalty. I'd be furious if the saints were called for that.

The call was right. The rule is horseshite, but the call was 100% correct.
It's not quite as bad as the QBs that duck their head into the hit and get the call, but the guy did make contact w the crown of his helmet on Drew's facemark.

I'm a Saints fan and I would be enraged if we got that call against us. Heck, we have. That was some weaksauce BS.
