From his presser:

Payton said #Saints had no offers to move down: "I don't think we got any calls."

Payton said the Saints waited to make the pick near the last second to see if someone would call to trade for Tunsil. Nothing came.

"We had many offers to trade down, and Payton blew it. Rankins would have been there if we traded down. I have access to every teams draft board. Sources."

seems like a lot of teams made some random picks after us. A few of them were good ones in my opinion.

some where not.

that's just the way it works.

They probably liked Rankins too much to move. Or any talks had did not have adequate compensation to move off of their guy

Why do you think we took the entire time?

It's pretty obvious Payton was waiting for a phone call.

But I won't act like I want a little worried. the saints have gone over time before. I think they did that with Sullivan. I think Minnesota jumped up to the mic with quickness and selected. Could be wrong about that tho.
