I think it was funny that it was leaked that he was interested in the SF job. Between this and Chip's "interest" I think SF is trying to make it look like that dumpster fire is an attractive job.

Glazer was on Fox pre game show yesterday speculating Payton leaving as well. He hasn't been quiet which makes me believe some of the rumors are true.

well now that you mention it, I'm going off media reports that the meeting was set for 4pm... but since Media knownothings seem to be the subject of the day, who knows?

He came back on at halftime of the other game and said he had no info that Payton was leaving, just that he was meeting with Loomis today.

No. No he wasn't.
He was on fox saying there would be a meeting today between Payton and Loomis and that there was interest in Payton around the league. That is all. Any person in America could have made those statements.

This is the NFL churning a story for attention. It could do Payton good to play nice with the league a bit before distinguishing these rumors.

Probably someone in SF's front office leaked out that SF reached out to SP & Chip's agents to see if they would be interested.
