From what I understand, it's pretty much the opposite. The fact he wasn't able to beat out a 4th round rookie and Alan Branch should tell you something.

He didn't even play the last preseason game. I was excited when we signed him but he clearly is done

I was disappointed when Denver didn't resign him to a long term deal a few years back, but it seems like he's underwhelmed since. I guess Denver dodged a bullet.

They wanted him to play 2 gap, something he hasnt done in his career. Sounds like it just didnt work out. He's in good shape by all accounts

He was apparently getting rag dolled in the 2nd game and joint practices vs the Bears
He lost a good bit amount of weight and struggled to adjust to the size and the scheme the Pats run
