Josh Katzenstein? @jkatzenstein

The Patriots offered a package with the No. 32 pick for Brandin Cooks, but the Saints are aiming higher, per sources

Wish we could have done a Chandler Jones for Brandon Cooks trade last year.

I would trade Cooks and our 3rd rounder for Butler.

He just jumped into the first round, ahem, Eagles.

Cooks would seem like a good fit in NE, but that's not enough to trade.

Probably the Patriots doing is a solid by upping the offer so the Eagles know they have to offer a least a first rounder.

Haven't we learned anything about trading with the pats? We get trade fricked every time.

Bill and SP are close. Really close.

I think this is them helping us up the offers.

Bill and Sean are legit friends and have helped one another on more than one occasion.

Bill and Sean have done somewhat similar stuff in the past. There's always a motive for both but they do help each other out. They are super tight.

Are you sure about that? Here's Bill Belichick on Cooks after the Pats/Saints preseason game a few years back.

quote:

"I'm glad we don't have to play him twice a year and he's not in our division," Belichick said, via The Times-Picayune. "He's a really good player."

Cooks TD vs Pats

Belichick doesn't give out these types of compliments very often.

Rapport saying it was a swap of picks so I'm thinking they were asking for a second or third back along with cooks

I honestly have no clue what Rap is trying to get at. Either way it sounds like a really bad deal for us. Wish he's elaborate on what picks we are swapping.
