This might be a point I would give Ryan a little credit when he said the scheme changes were sorta pushed on him. Keeping previous assistant coaches at his hire was another sign of him not being fully in control.
All that to say I still have lotsa hope for KV turning in a big year again- IF implemented more to his skill set.
My hope scale might be higher for Erik Harris. Signing Breaux was one of the biggest coups in years! A top 10 CB for nuttin! I am not expecting the same for Harris but am hoping! Anywhere near starter material for UDFAs are huge bonuses.

Reid made the Pro Bowl year 1 was steady in year 2. Last season's 49er D really took a hit with defections and retirements.Reid is a thumper but he also covers more ground in coverage than what was originally projected coming out of college..

The truth about the draft is all of these guys have the physical tools to make it ,but even only 30% of 1st round draft picks become consistent starters over their career. To me it is a crap shoot at any position and pretty much the last sure thing that has come out of the draft was Andrew Luck ,but nothing is really a sure thing cause situation, and how a player adapts to the NFL are key so like I said it is a crap shoot.

Reid is the best player being discussed in this thread but he's reportly one hit away from retirement

Reid made the pro bowl over KV because KV broke his ankle against Carolina. KV still finished higher in rookie of the year voting.

Have you seen the saints defense?

Despite all the analysis and the Mel Kipers of the world.....nfl draft is a crapshoot.
Thats why Tom Brady falls to 6th round.....Joe Montana goes in 3rd round.
Thats why Jamarcus Russell was the overall #1 pick...and a Tony Mandarich was #2 overall... both in 1st round.
