Opponents' Records - Inside the numbers

Including my assumption that New England will hold on, our opponents' combined record is 25-15. That's easy to look up. I wanted to take it a step further in order to see just how for real this team is.
If you take away all of our opponents' wins and losses vs us and previously played common foes, you get your records vs the rest of the league. That record is a very strong 19-7. Remove NE and MN (teams we lost to), and the record only drops to 12-5. That's still extremely impressive.
Conclusion - I believe this Saints team is for real. It's not just smoke and mirrors, and it's certainly not because our wins are against inferior competition. I even dare say that we've probably had the toughest schedule in the NFL this far. I can't imagine anyone else's being much stiffer.
Our 4-2 is legit. We back, boys!!!

Armstead back and our run game produced 100 yard rushers in both games.
This offense is completely different with him, but brees needs to make better decision/throws. Both of those picks were bad throws

Yea, I'm actually more concerned about how GB ran on us than I am of Brees' 2 picks.

Yup.
LB'er play needs to improve.

Most of it was on the first drive. We did well the rest of the game outside of losing contain on the two QB scrambles.

So I guess staying on topic is difficult for many of you...

Hope Warford won't be out too long. The O-line seems to have a new attitude and he's a big part of it.

quote:I was more impressed at the adjustments that were made. You can't expect them to come out and shut down from jump street every game. McCarthy is a smart offensive coach. He was a step ahead of our D to start the game, but we countered and remained in control. To me, that is more important.

We're absolutely legit. The most amazing part is that our WR's and defense is still improving every week. I wish Fleener would be more consistent - I feel like that's the biggest difference between this offense and the 2011 and (early) 2013 varieties is the tall weapon in the seam.
We should definitely win the NFC South and be in the mix for a first-round bye should we avoid any major injuries.
