The list is about who had the best 2012 season,
Thats not really true. The list is supposed to be based on the top players of the 2012 season, but its not. Revis played in only 2 games where he had a total of 11 tackes, 1 FF, and 1 INT. But, he still made the list. And was #67 for that matter. He was ranked ahead of guys that played the entire season. And ahead of Tim Jennings who led the NFL in interceptions last season. Terrell Suggs made the list at #56. He missed half the season. Had 22 tackles and 2 sacks. LeSean McCoy made the list at #45, but only had 840 rushing yards and 370 receiving yards. Hell he was the 19th ranked running back off rushing yards behind a lot of players that didnt make the list. Ranked him ahead of Alfred Morris, who was the #2 rusher in the NFL last year. Larry Fitzgerald is #22 on that list. He had 800 yards last year. Good enough for 40th in the NFL. Same with DBowe who came in at #65.
If it was strictly based on the 2012 season stats, those guys either wouldnt be on the list, or would be ranked way lower than they were. So your main argument that the list is based strictly off of what the player did in the 2012 season and stats is false.

The rankings are based on an off-season poll organized by the NFL, whereby players vote on their peers based on the performance of the previous season and their belief of how the player will perform in the coming season.
