Odds Saints trade Khiry?

For a pass rusher. They ran him hard yesterday and I feel it was intentionally done to showcase his skill.
Do we need 4 backs? I know, injuries and all...
I like the guy (as I liked Ivory), but I feel our need for a good rusher outweighs the need for 4 backs (pending Spiller's return).

Realistic odds 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 to 1.

I'd like to feel the same, but I wouldn't put it past the front office.

Well this past offseason they traded away one of the only two decent receivers on the team and didn't replace him, so it's not as crazy an idea as it seems.

Why do you assume this? He's one of our best running threats and we were trying to win the game. Ingram wasn't exactly killing it in the YPC arena so CSP tried his other workhorse back. It's not like that's never happened before. Remember the big hissy fit Ingram threw last season when he lost carries to other RBs while he was actually playing well?

I hope to god we don't trade Khiry. Spiller and Ingram are way too injury prone. We need a back like Khiry on the roster.

Are you kidding me? He's our best RB...he's definitely better than overpaid Ingram.

well we've traded most of our wide receiver talent . Why don't we go ahead and trade a running back for some project player.
Posted on 9/14/15 at 12:28 pm to FenrirTheBeard
We "showcased" him because he's our #2 RB
I mean if you trade him you're gonna count on Ingram and Spiller especially to stay healthy for a whole season? No way in hell.

If we can trade him away for a pass rusher it wouldn't be a bad call.
PT hasn't signed with a team and the organization is known for bringing in previously released talent on the cheap if we are in a pinch (see Meachem, Morgan, etc).
Get the value while we can and make due with what's there.

LOL 1 game in, and already the bitching about Ingram has started......you silly LSU fans

I'm not denying he is great. Very strong N/S runner.

0%, what happens if Ingram gets banged up because you know it happens each season. Plus they wouldn't have released Hightower if they were shopping him

Nobody is bitching about Ingram you dumb frick. He's not better than Khiry, period. He's overpaid for his production. I don't care what the market value says. That doesn't mean I think Ingram lacks a place in our offense...I just don't think he was worth what he was paid.
I've always felt Khiry was a better RB than him. He runs harder and breaks way more tackles with arguably more vision and acceleration. Ingram is fine in the offense but do you really think he's the RB the Saints should've paid? I feel like when Khiry's contract is up the Saints will let the better back go because they're invested in Spiller/Ingram.
He just brings a nasty streak that this offense seems to lack without him. Seems like it takes several players to take him down as his legs are really strong. Ingram seems like he goes backwards too much or goes down too easy. I don't think he's bad just Khiry is a better runner than him...but he's certainly not worth 4 million+ a year for the Saints to keep. I don't think a lot RBs are but that's just my opinion...especially in the type of offense the Saints run where it revolves around great passblocking OL with majority pass almost always.

It would have to be a pretty good offer...and that just doesn't make sense to me.

Hmmmm not sure, If they would, they better get a Solid Player in return and not some washed up garbage !!

Ingram = 2.7 yds/carry
Khiry = 2.4 yds/carry
Maybe the Arizona Def played really well and the o-line struggled a little.
