Last week was our most dominant performance of the season. Any chance we leave the o-line as is even if armstead and strief healthy.

Peat might be the best LT on our team and Ramrod the best RT. Kelemete not our greatest but might we be better off with Armstead trying guard?

As a side note, Saintsreport.com full of actual saints discussion on the super forum with great analysis. This page is about to be for the birds.

Well, we just had by far our best performance against a stud DL

Honestly with the way Smith has looked in Dallas so far this year, Armstead might be #1 if healthy.

Joe Thomas >>>> Everyone still

Armstead > Peat
Peat > Kelemete

That's why you need armstead back

Saintsreport is filled with complete morons and people who "watch tape" by putting on YouTube or replaying the game on dvr.

I think the o line has been trying to kneel during the national anthem for the past few years. Somebody forgot to tell them that once the anthem is over the protest stops.

Very true, their "film study" threads are hilarious

None of this even makes any sense. You should try watching a Saints game prior to posting here.

To answer OP, we still had to give Peat help on the outside of line. We kept RBs in often to help chip a DE or kept a TE in to help. He played fine overall though. Armstead doesn't need help on the LT spot. It will free up other players once Armstead and Strief get back.

Yeh armstead and Tyron Smith are neck and neck athletically and if armstead has him knee right he can block anyone.
Been saying this team shouldn't be judged till we get full line.
Also peat always looks good when he fills in at lt but armstead is far superior

Shh don't tell anyone this on game day He is still "project" Peat to some idiots. Peat is solid and looks to be a great pick in hindsight and will help shore up the line for years.

But I agree a healthy Armstead is better than any player on this team not named Brees or Jordan.

how do y'all feel ramrod was a RT last week. Do you let Strief be the backup and tackle eligible. Back to his bread and butter?

His head and butter is being one of the best RTs in the NFL

I would be fine with leaving Ram out there. He's played well and is only going to get better the more he plays plus he's going to be here long term. Strief can still have a roll coming off the bench in short yardage packages.

I use to have season tickets gave them up.

The Saints line has been and still horrible.
I am surprised Drew has not had a career ending injury the way he has been hit the past few years.

They have 3 backs and they still depend more on the pass that should tell you something right there. They have a decent quarterback right now. If they would invest in offensive lineman they could be one of the best offenses in the NFL by mixing the running game with the passing game. The first two games they could not produce in the red zone when they were force to run the ball.
Same thing the past two seasons.

Right now when a team shuts down the passing game and forces them to establish a running game they do not have the line to do it.

Two of the games we trailed the whole way. The other one we ran a lot.

Decent?

Traded a star TE for an All Pro center, drafted an all pro LT, drafted two first round tackles, and paid big money for a RG. I don't get the feeling they haven't invested in the line, but maybe that's just me.
