No way we draft Rankins

I say this because every mock has us taking him. It's science dude. When's the last time we took a player they had us drafting..cooks, Peat, Vacarro...
I'm not saying I wouldn't want him, it's just that we need him, therefore we will not take him.
I say it's either Hargreaves or Conklin.
I'd give my left big toenail to be in the Saints draft room on Thursday.
Can't wait.

I'm leaning Jarran Reed as of right now. You cannot trust your interior pass rush to Nick Fairley on a single year deal. Short of Ramsey, Jack, Buckner, Bosa dropping to us, I think we go DL.

This is the first year I'm actually comfortable in saying one of the "unanimous" top guys Buckner, bosa, Ramsey, or jack will be at 12.
3 qbs, 1 rb, and 3 ot/OG will be taken. I also feel like Lawson or rankins will be taken too. I just have this weird feeling

There really needs to be a DT taken early. Tyeler Davison will be the only relevant DT on roster under contract after this season.

someone always reaches for a T...IMO Tunsil, Conklin, and Stanley are taken.

Yeah, I haven't been following this draft that closely. I didn't realize he was also a guard prospect. Usually 1st is too early for a guard prospect, but if he's projected this high at that position then there's probably a good chance he'll be a stud. I guess I wouldn't be too upset if they took him, though I'd still prefer a stud on defense if possible.

God I hope you're right...On the Rankins part.
I hope the pick is either Treadwell, Hargreaves, or Jack. Although we'd probably have to move up to get 2/3.

Rankins or Noah Spence will be the pick unless Hargrave falls to us. I would not have a problem with Kevin Dodd or Leonard Floyd Either.
We need edge rushers to take pressure off Delvin Breaux and Keenan Lewis.
I( would love to get edge rusher in first and Chris Jones fro Miss State in the second round.
Guard or receiver in the third.

As far as guys I want us to draft at #12 tomorrow, I'll say:
1. If Myles Jack falls to us
2. Sheldon Rankins
3. Shaq Lawson
4. Jarran Reed
5. Jack Conklin
I'm kind of against taking a CB at #12. I like Hargreaves, but imo he has too many question marks to take that high. Taking any other CB would be reaching. I want a WR, just not with our 1st pick. I'm hoping for front 7 or solidifying that OG spot(although I'd rather trade back than take Conklin).
