they went, in 1 year, from having the worst DEF and OFF in the NFL to jumping 10 spots on DEF, and up to the 17th ranked offense.

they won 7 games and lost 5 games by 6 points or less.

Denver's defense is still best in the league, but they do have some questions at QB. San Diego hasnt gotten better, and KC has stayed the same. I think they could make a move and finish with 9 wins rather easily

Even with a worse record we are better than that shite team. Ain't been the same since Gonzalez left (which I called; that whole offense ran through him; Ryan is lost without him).

Like I said, with help it's possible they do better.

But they sound a lot like us last year. Can't win the close ones. Can't be a good team until you do. We've done it in the semi recent past. The Raiders have not.

see, i look at that list and dont really have beef with OAK.

Minn @ 9 is laughable
Hou at 12
Wash at 13.
Giants at 15

miami and tampa at 20 and 21

They are very obviously way better than the Saints and they have coach that knows defense.

It was pretty clear they were coming on last year.

Yet we have over $50 mil in cap space next year. This complaint is totally invalid now. We had two tight years where it cost us a few aging vets but they were guys people bitched about anyway.

I don't have a beef with Oak at 11 so much either, but 13-15 would be more realistic.

Just a small nitpick really.

Meh, we swept you 2 years ago without Gonzo. We got swept last year without him as well. 2-2 in 2 years.

Ryan is lost without him

Ryan was top 2 QB through 5 games last year and Julio was leading the NFL in receiving yards through like 8 games.

We stumbled but that was our Defenses fault primarily. Anyways, you're not better than us. It's a wash between the 2 of us.

you have to think that offense takes the next step with Carr/Cooper and Murray, along with Crabtree.

Mack is a top 5-7 DEF player in the NFL. They addressed DEF in the draft, adding a few solid players. In free agency added Bruce Irvin and Sean Smith. If they get anything from Aldon Smith look out.

I am not sold on Carr being a winning QB yet despite his "pro bowl" season. He started out awesome but shite the bed down the stretch and his play in the 4th quarter is pretty terrible.

They probably figure Brees will be hurt in game 1 because the Saints organization is brain dead in trying to protect their franchise player with an improved oline as priority.

I loved the Mack pick by Oakland. It's when I know they were moving on from the Al Davis way.

I forgot they grabbed a couple of those guys in FA.

But I still don't think the offense will be good enough to truly compete unless Carr really steps up. And they still play the AFC and have to play the Broncos and Chiefs twice.

Absolute ceiling with them if things go their way is 10 wins. Realistic ceiling in my mind is 8 wins. Either way the floor is 6. I think they are good enough to at least get that.

I'm glad we're 30th. We need to play hungry.

LSU with no QB would be at least 26th in the league.

Well if we didn't hate LSU players we would be top 5

Power rankings are awesome this time of year. Wait till that team goes 4-0 pre season. Then that team goes 4-0 to start the season. Then the rest of the NFL figures out what there doing and they win 1 more game

We've earned every bad thing said about us the last 2 years.

Make them all shut their dirty whore mouths Saints

And by "we" you mean the fans, right? Since I doubt the players give two shits about power rankings in May.

power rankings are more ridiculous than college football polls

Falcons have no pass rush and no run game. Their pass defense is mediocre. All they have is a passing offense, but all Ryan can do is dink and dunk underneath. They are probably the best team I listed as us being "better than", but we are definitely better than them. We have a better running game, will have a better pass rush, a better run defense, and likely a much better downfield passing game.
