Is this really that so hard to believe? I mean it's kinda crazy how many of you are just assuming GW is lying. Y'all remind me of Penn State fans.
Why are you so quick to believe Williams isn't lying and that 9 other people are willing to commit perjury? Who has more at stake? Williams wants to get back in the league even though he probably will be untouchable after all of this.

So was Cerullo's presented today, or not? Vilma saying he only saw Williams' declaration.

Man Pedo State fans care more about football than children's lives.

That is nothing like standing up for your team when the NFL is trying to frame a simple incentive program as a criminal bounty program to take out other players for cash.

President Bill Clinton perjured himself, so I'm not sure your argument carries any weight.

It's much more likely that one person perjured himself instead of nine, especially one who's relying on the good graces of one man to let him work in the league again.

I like how it took them this long to get this new "evidence". I am sure we will find out Greg Williams lied about this statement at some point.

Right. Those players, if true they provided evidence false or not, tenures are probably over in the NFL.

A few observations:
#1. Bet you a dollar that GW's suspension is "officially" ended before SP's, despite the fact that his is indefinite.
#2. Regardless if he is lying or not, I believe GW has coached his last game in the NFL. What coach will hire a guy that rolled over on his team? What players will really play for a guy that rolled over on one of their own. If Goodell really convinced GW to do this, the GW is stupid.
#3. I believe the arrogance of the league is astounding here. I really think Goodell believes Vilma will back off. They have "50,000 pages of evidence" of which we have seen basically none. They have testimony of a former executive with the team that was fired and had a bone to pick. They get a signed affidavit from a coach that is indefinitely suspended signed 1 day before the meeting with Vilma. Any attorney with half a brain would be foaming at the mouth to get this to court.

Does Williams really believe he'll coach again? I guess we're all guilty of fooling ourselves about one thing or another but that's beyond delusion.
Greg Williams is radioactive.

why would they not have gotten with Williams affidavit for the court trial?

I can't believe the NFL thinks they can get away with this

Unfortunately it's not. It STILL doesn't matter. Unless Goodell does something really stupid, like fabricates evidence in front of Vilma's attorney it doesn't matter. The CBA gives him complete authority to do whatever the hell he wants as long as he is able to classify it as off field conduct. The Union did say that there is an expectation of reasonableness for that level of authority, but as long as Goodell has evidence to back his position he can claim he's being reasonable. It's called He Said He Said, not His Truth and His Lies. No one KNOWS what actually happened so there's not much you can do to prove Goodell relying on his set of He Said evidence is unreasonable unless you can show he's fabricating the evidence or coercing false testimony.

Goodell is making a mockery of this not because he's stupid, but because he knows he'll get away with it and he's showing the players who's in charge. He's basically rubbing his nuts in the face of every player with this case.

I couldn't agree with you more. There has to be evidence to support the Commie's claim that it was off field conduct detrimental. I don't have a link, but I think the arbitrators have clarified that if it happens in the confines of football it is not an off field "Conduct Detrimental" given how that set of circumstances is interpreted by the CBA. I could be whaayy off base though. I haven't been bookmarking.
