Saints QB @drewbrees flew to Birmingham for extensive evaluation of passing shoulder by Dr James Andrews. Results very positive. Status tbd

Makes sense. Andrews had been out of the country

The thing that keeps popping up in my head was that when he tried to throw on Friday, his arm strength wasn't there...and it was so bad that it was "an easy decision" for him not to play.

I'm skeptical that he'll be able to bounce back so quickly. I think it's going to be several weeks.

Mort just said at halftime that he talked to CSP and he expects Brees to play Sunday night.

I'm not sure I believe coach.

Trolling lol. I think his injury is more significant that what is being reported and what is the point in rushing him back to a team that is looking at a long season with/without him.

I knew as soon as he couldn't even pull his kid's tooth that he would be out for at least 4-5 weeks. That was a really sad story.

Of course he can, he handles the pressers for a crappy organization.

So you read all the evidence and reports...just assume they are the complete opposite of what is actually happening and come out with this...

That is literally what crazy people do.

We're 0-3. I hope we don't play him until he's 100%. He's only our best option if he's at or near 100%

When have these reports ever been correct? I honestly don't think he will be back near 100% for several more weeks. Why even play a declining DB that isn't 100%? This year is over and the sooner the front office acknowledges it the better.

So say Brees is out 3-4 more weekanand the Saints sit at 1-5 or 0-6, what is the point of playing him then? With cap hell they are in next year, don't be so naive to think Brees' future with this team is about over(or should be strongly considered).

Brees owed $26 mill next year. Go from there.
